FACTS ABOUT TWINS
Twins are definitely gifts from God. Those days twins were taken to be idols and some people do
kill them, that was before the coming of the white woman (MARY SLESSOR) who stopped the
killing of twins in calabar, Nigeria back in the days……Some people still take them to be a
burden whereby once they notice they have twins they either run away after giving birth to the
children while some drop one of the twins somewhere and cater for the other, some people give
birth to them and sell them off…..But we still have some mothers and fathers who desire them so
much that if they should have two set of twins, they are ready to cater for them because of their
uniqueness. I strongly believe that we twins are unique children and that we possess some unique
attributes if you think i am kidding get extremely close to a set of twins and you will understand
what i mean………
HOW TO IDENTIFY MOST TWINS
(physically)
1) PHOTOCOPY AND CARBONCOPY IDEOLOGY : Twins are either the photocopy
or the carbon copy of their parents….Whereby a twin is the photocopy he or she has
taken the look or structure of either the father or the mother, the way u go to photocopy a
book or written words on a paper that’s the way the photocopy machine will bring it out
for you. On the other hand whereby the other twin is the carbon copy he or she has taken
the behavior of either of the parent….For instance I personally have my dads’ behavior in
a way and I look like my mum while my twin brother looks like my dad and has my
mums behavior in a way also…..therefore I am a photocopy of my mum and carbon copy
of my dad.
2) BEHAVIORAL DIFFERENCE: Twins surely have different behaviors, sometimes one
of them will be outspoken than the other, sometimes one of them will be calm and the
other isn’t close to calmness at all, in some cases some twins have totally different
behaviors whereby you will easily know which you are interacting or communicating
with either face to face or not. Some other cases one of the twins interact or makes
friends more than the other and one tends to be secretive while the other is not…..
3) STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCE: I have never seen a set of twins who are so identical
to the level of having the same structure, height, weight and growth from birth till their
adult hood. There must surely be a difference where either of them will be fatter or taller
than the other or even having different weight……
4) LIKES AND DISLIKES: Twins will surely have some things in which they like or
dislike individually, when you get to know things in which one of them likes and the
other doesn’t or what one doesn’t like and the other likes then you can easily
differentiate…..
SCIENTIFIC DIFFERENCES
Under science twins are differentiated with them either been identical or fraternal. Identical
twins are those twins that look really really alike while fraternal twins are twins that may
have little resemblance or no facial resemblance just like a normal brother or sister. Identical
twins are called MONO-ZYGOTIC TWINS (mono=one, zygote=fertilized egg) while
fraternal twins are called DI-ZYGOTIC TWINS or MULTI-ZYGOTIC.
MONO-ZYGOTIC TWINS: They originate from the same combination of cells and have
the same genetic origin. They are always the same sex, two girls or two boys. They form
when a single fertilized egg splits. Its not hereditary. Mono-zygotic twins represent about one-
third of all twins. They may look remarkably similar and it may be difficult to tell them apart.
DI-ZYGOTIC TWINS: They are two individuals from the same pregnancy who form from
two separate eggs. The genetic similarity between fraternal twins is the same as any two
siblings, about 50% they may look alike, or not, just like any sisters and brothers. They can
be boys, girls or one of each. Fraternal twins are the most common form of twins
representing about two-thirds of all twins. Di-zygotic twinning can be hereditary and run in
the family. Most twins and multiples that result from fertility enhancing treatments, such as
drugs or procedures like in-vitriol fertilization, are Di-zygotic rather than mono-zygotic……..
SHORT STORY OF TWIN BOYS TWIN LIVES
The story of identical twins nearly identical lives is often astonishing, but identical perhaps
none more so than those of these identical twins born in Ohio. The twin boys were separated
at birth, being adopted by different families. Unknown to each other, both families named the
boys Jim(James). And here the coincidence just began. Both James grew up not even
knowing of the other, yet both sought law-enforcement training, both had abilities in
mechanical drawing and carpentry, and each had married women named LINDA. They both
had sons whom one named James Alan and the other named James Allan. The twin brothers
also divorced their wives and married other women both named Betty. And they both owned
dogs which they named Toy. Jim Lewis and Jim Springer finally met in February 9, 1979
after 39 years of being separated…..What a surprising and interesting lifestyle.

1) JACOB & ESAU- They might have been the first twins born.
2) THE KRAY BROTHETRS- Perpetrators of organized crime during 1950s-1960s in
the East End in London
3) ROMULUS & REMUS- They founded the great city of ROME. At the end Remus
killed Romulus.
4) APOLLO & ARTEMIS-Warriors and were also gods.
5) RONDE & TIKI BARBER- They were both athletes and one became a presenter.
6) CHANG & ENG BUNKER- The Bunker brothers are famous for being the first
widely known pair of Siamese twins. In 1874 chang had contracted pneumonia and
died, but Eng was still alive, Doctors offered to separate them but Eng declined,
dying three hours later.
7) JENNA & BARBARA BUSH- The first twins to ever live in the White House.
8) ROBIN & MAURICE GIBB- The difference in their birth was just 35minutes, the
twins will make their round in history by creating the worldly famous band The
Bees Gees.
9) ANN LANDER & ABIGAIL VAN BUREN- They became very popular columnists,
the sisters are said to have received about 15,000 letters each week with about
200million readers.
10) MARY KATE & ASHLEY OLSEN- The two seem to be the youngest twins to
become famous, officially being hired as actresses at the age of six months.
DISPUTABLE FACTS ABOUT TWINS I HAVE STUDIED
1) DRESS SENSE: Most kehinde’s (Kenny) i.e. the one that comes out last, dresses better
than Taye (Taiwo) i.e. the one that comes out first. Not that the Taiwo’s doesn’t know
how to dress but the kenny’s dresses better.
2) INTERACTION: The Taiwo’s interact better than the Kenny’s, The Taiwo’s are very
outspoken and easily flow with people. The Taiwo’s can start talking to you as if they
have known you for long whereas they just knew you that day but for the Kenny’s, they
will be forming and won’t talk that much until they are used to you or they study you.
3) TEMPER: The Kenny’s get angry easily than the Taiwo’s, They seem gentle but they
are not as gentle as you think. The kenny’s shout on the Taiwo’s most times while the
Taiwo’s will play it soft or say it the way it comes and also the Taiwo’s calm down for
the Kenny’s most often.
4) PASSION: Most Taiwo’s always have passion for counseling or you may say it’s a
calling, they notice things and don’t overlook them while kenny’s overlook things a lot.
Examples of Taiwo’s that are into counseling or ministry Pastor Peace Ajiboye she’s a
taiwo, Pastor Tunde Taiwo, Bro Taiwo Adewole former national BSF president, Bro
